The court strikes back

The Supreme Court's cancellation last week of all 122 telecom licences issued in 2008 by ex-telecom minister Andimuthu Raja has evoked several strong responses. One is a feeling of schadenfreude: glee that some companies have been stripped of their licences and the feeling that they had it coming anyway. Others worry about the impact that the cancellation could have on the already weak investment climate in India.
