An elected President falls

The details remain sketchy and nobody  quite knows for sure what exactly transpired at Male on Tuesday, the sequence of events, and where exactly Maldives stands at this very moment. What we know, more or less accurately, is that the first democratically elected President of Maldives and political reformist Mohammed Nasheed has ‘announced’ his resignation following weeks of public protests over his to arrest a senior judge whose political bias was far too obvious to be ignored.
