Yesterday no more!

The World Bank president Robert Zoellick has announced his decision to step down at the end of his five-year term in June 2012. With that, the stage is set for another face-off between the developed and the developing world over the selection of the next head of the 187-member multilateral lender. The world might have changed dramatically since 1945 when the Bank was established, along with its Bretton Woods twin, the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
