Plan panel may oppose new growth index

The development index formulated by the Raghuram Rajan committee may run into opposition from the Planning Commission which has questioned the methodology adopted by the panel in which states have been ranked on the basis of National Sample Survey Organization's (NSSO) monthly per capita consumption expenditure (MPCE).
