New guidelines on bad loans soon: Rajan

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will soon announce measures that will tackle the issue of banks sweeping bad loans under the carpet. The central bank's governor Raghuram Rajan said that these steps will encourage banks to report troubled borrowers early and incentivize resolution of bad loans and their fair recovery.
