UP holds cane prices, but Sugar mills unwilling to budge

The Uttar Pradesh government kept sugar cane prices unchanged from the previous year at Rs 280 per quintal on Wednesday in the hope that mills will start crushing cane but mill owners were unconvinced about the viability of high cane and low sugar prices.
