Govt plays appeasement politics ahead of election

In a frantic bid to appease its minority vote bank ahead of Lok Sabha polls, Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Friday said the Centre will ask State Governments to set up an advisory committee each to review terror cases against “innocent” Muslim youths languishing in jails without trial.
