Parched residents threaten hunger strike against Kejri

The residents of Dwarka, one of Delhi's largest colonies, will sit on a hunger-strike against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's government from 19 January onward if their water woes are not solved inside the next one week. Largely dependent on tanker water, the residents of several housing complexes realised on Thursday night that the private tankers that fulfilled their water needs, albeit at an unjustifiably high cost, are being stopped from supplying water to them. The tube wells too have been sealed.
