Rape puts AAP in a tight spot

Danish ambassador in India Freddy Svane, in an e-mail response to this newspaper regarding the alleged sexual assault of a 51-year-old female tourist from his country, said: “We can confirm there is a case involving a Danish national. No further comments.” A police FIR has been lodged in the case, but the victim has refused to undergo a medical examination. The victim, who had travelled in India earlier too, came to India on January 1 this time and was travelling to different cities.
