Election Tracker: BJP ahead in Jharkhand, Congress strong in Assam

New Delhi: Jharkhand is seeing a Narendra Modi wave with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expected to garner 40 per cent of the votes in the state if Lok Sabha elections are held in January 2014. The Congress, which in alliance with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), runs the state government, is likely to get just 20 per cent votes in the mineral-rich state.
