KCR's heroic homecoming gives Congress the jitters
Political parties are mapping strategies and searching for alliances afresh after the division of Andhra Pradesh. The ruling Congress, which had won 33 of the 42 seats in 2009, is in deep distress. It has to find allies in Telangana as well as the successor Andhra Pradesh state if it is to salvage its precarious position and try to retain at least one of every three seats that it got in 2009.
