India is in danger of scaring off investors if it presses ahead with measures that restrict the freedom of expression on the internet, the founder of Wikipedia has warned. Jimmy Wales, who is leading the charge against proposed US legislation that the internet industry says restricts free speech, cautioned India against taking a "huge step backwards" by putting fetters on companies such as Google, Facebook and Twitter.
