Telenor may exit, Sistema to move SC

Within 24 hours of the Supreme Court (SC) order cancelling 121 telecom licences awarded by A Raja in 2008, the affected companies seem to be getting their act together. Russian conglomerate Sistema on Friday was the first to fire a salvo by disclosing its intent to seek a review of the SC ruling that will hit all its 21 licences. Along with the Russian government, Sistema holds a 56.68% stake in Shyam Sistema that operates data services under the MTS brand.
