Tata seeks review petition of SC judgment

Tata Teleservices on Monday said it had been advised to file a review petition of the Supreme Court’s judgment that cancelled three of its 2G licences. The operator said it had applied for the licences nearly two years before they were finally issued. “Tata Teleservices had applied for these three licenses way back in June 2006 and this was kept pending for over 18 months until LOIs were finally issued in January 2008. The company has been advised to file a review petition in the Supreme Court seeking redressal on this point,” the company said in a statement.
