Poll manifestos drive sales for PC makers

The assembly polls in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh are being keenly followed not just by politicians , pollsters and political pundits but also by personal computer (PC) makers. At stake are orders running into millions of units. If Samajwadi Party in UP and Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab triumph, then the PC makers are in for a bonanza as both the parties have promised free laptops and tablets for students in standards X to XII.
