2G: The least worst option
The Supreme Court of India did the unthinkable on February 2, when it cancelled 122 Unified Access Service Licences awarded in 2008 during the tenure of erstwhile Minister of Communications and Information Technology, A. Raja. The judges found his actions mala fide and unconstitutional, saying the exchequer lost crores because he virtually gave away a scarce national asset to his cronies.
