Work has begun in full force amid tight security from the wee hours of Tuesday at the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) in Tirunelveli, to ensure commissioning of one unit as quickly as possible. According to sources, nuclear scientists, specialists, contract workers and administrative staff all entered the plant by Monday night. Plant site director Kasinath Balaji told mediapersons that he was thankful to the State and Central Governments for all the support.
