Coal shortage to hit 46,000MW power projects, say analysts

Coal-fired projects seeking to produce 46,000 megawatts (MW) of power are at stake as costly imported fuel erodes the margins of power producers, state electricity boards (SEBs) refuse to pay more and clarity on cheaper domestic supplies of the fuel remains elusive, analysts say.
