Red offensive bid to divert focus?

The recent spurt of Maoist violence is believed to be part of a Tactical Counter Offensive Campaign (TCOC) launched by the outlawed outfit. TCOC is conducted when top Maoists leaders hold meetings in forests. Sources said the killing of 12 CRPF jawans in IED blast in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli on Tuesday or the recent abductions of two Italian tour operators and a BJD MLA in Odisha are all part of a well-coordinated TCOC.
