Pressure piles on CIL to ink FSAs as Govt wants to avert power crisis

Even though the March 31 deadline set by Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for Coal India Ltd (CIL) to ink fuel supply agreements (FSAs) with power plants ensuring 80 per cent provision of the dry fuel to them, has expired, pressure is being piled up on the State-owned entity by the Government to fulfill the aforementioned clause as it wants to avert another power crisis, which the country had faced late last year.
