Naveen caves in to Maoist pressure, to free 27 prisoners

With the April 5 (Thursday) deadline by the Maoist abductors of Laxmipur MLA Jhina Hikaka nearing its end and the resumed talks between the Government and the Maoist-chosen mediators still not reaching any conclusion, the Naveen Patnaik Government continued to be under pressure on Wednesday as to how to resolve the twin hostage crisis.
