Rawat upsets Uttarakhand CM's poll plan
Tensions in Uttarakhand Congress have come to the fore again, with Union minister Harish Rawat opposing the move to help CM Vijay Bahuguna become a member of the state assembly by getting a BJP MLA to resign his seat and pave the way for a bypoll. "It would not be politically appropriate to get a BJP MLA to resign for the CM. There would be many MLAs in Congress who would want to leave their seat. The entire party would stand by him when he contests", Rawat told TOI.
