Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley on Monday lashed out at the UPA Government for misusing the Central Bureau of Investigation and said that the blatant political misuse of the agency is what was letting the Centre survive. Jaitley was in the State capital for a day to meet senior State party leader Rajender Rathore, who is in judicial custody for his alleged involvement in the Daria police encounter case. He told a meeting of party workers and media persons that the UPA Government was opposed to giving the country’s premier investigation agency autonomy under the Lokpal Bill just to keep its control over the agency.
