Even as the Congress decided to take spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi off the party office’s duty roster for the time being in view of the CD controversy, his former driver claimed that he was the one who had distributed a “distorted” video to take revenge on Singhvi. The party’s decision came after Singhvi — who heads the Standing Committee on Law and Justice — secured an injunction against the broadcast of a CD that allegedly contains material which he called defamatory and fabricated.
