Defence estates top gun facilitated Prez allotment

In an effort to push the allotment of ‘A1 defence’ land for President Pratibha Patil’s post-retirement home, the Southern Command’s Principal Director, Defence Estates (PDDE), quietly ignored a query from his department’s top official based in New Delhi in March-April 2011, seeking details of a “precedence case” of a similar allotment.
