US: India an ally now,can access any def equipment

The regime of US high-technology denial to India is demonstrably over and India can now access a choice of US defence equipment available only to its closest partners,an Obamaadministration official said on Thursday,confirming a tectonic shift in American global and regional policy under which Washington now regards New Delhi as more an ally than just a partner.
