Minister group no to Bihar special status

A high-level inter-ministerial group appointed at the behest of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is said to have decided to reject Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s demand for special category status for the state. It feels Bihar meets none of the criterion to warrant such a status.
