Skilling India’s future-II
In order to address the skill gap in the country the government’s National Skill Development Plan aims to create 500 million skilled manpower by 2022. The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has been entrusted with skilling 150 million people, the ministry of labour and employment (MoLE) has a target of 100 million, the ministry of human resource development (MHRD) 50 million and the rest of the 200 million among 17 other ministries. So now let’s have a closer look at each of these bodies and their plan of action with respect to this vocational education/skill development objective.
