Charge of the CMs’ brigade

Improbable as it may seem, but it is a fact that Mr Naveen Patnaik, the affable Chief Minister of Odisha, is now the most visible face of opposition to the misdeeds of UPA2. However much he dislikes the self-image of chief rebel, Mr Patnaik has been co-opted into that role. And it is all on account of his leading the charge against the Union Home Ministry’s bizarre proposal for its National Counter-Terrorism Centre. It is not bizarre as an idea, as a proposition, but it is strange in the manner it is sought to be structured and the manner it is sought to be used.
