Upset with chief, Modi may skip BJP national meet

Adding to BJP’s woes, Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi has reportedly conveyed to the party leadership that he may not attend the national executive scheduled to be held on May 24-25 at Mumbai. Modi, who is not on talking terms with the party president Nitin Gadkari, whose term will be renewed in the executive, has been sulking over the reinduction of Sanjay Joshi, his arch rival. Joshi was brought into the party fold by Gadkari ahead of the assembly polls in UP. Joshi was removed as party organising secretary when a sex CD involving him came to surface in 2005.
