UPA-II: 3-yr nightmare continues

The UPA Government, which will complete three very difficult years in office on Monday, is gearing up to face tough challenges both on economic and political fronts in the coming days. On the economic side, the slowing of growth to 6.9 percent of the GDP, steep fall in the value of rupee, high inflation and key economic reform legislations being blocked by allies like Trinamool Congress have created the impression that UPA II faces policy paralysis-a taint the Government is trying hard to fight.
