Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee’s liberal praise for Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s “significant success” in her first year in office has failed to impress Didi insofar as the Congress crisis manager’s presidential aspirations are concerned. In an interview to CNN-IBN channel, for the first time Banerjee has listed her preferences and left the rest on the “majority.” Mukherjee does not figure in her list of favoured candidates.
