Gujarat governor Kamla Beniwal, who has been accused of grabbing land in Rajasthan through a farmers' cooperative society, also allegedly exerted political pressure to save the society from dissolution due to irregularities. According to the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Jaipur, Beniwal influenced the Ashok Gehlot government to drop the proceedings for dissolution of the Kisan Samuhik Krishi Sahkari Samiti Limited in 2010.
