Sangma eats words; Cong unimpressed

A day after being snubbed by Sonia Gandhi, former Lok Sabha Speaker PA Sangma tried to win the ruling alliance’s support by claiming to have apologised to the Congress president for raking up her foreign origin issue. The Congress, however, appears in no mood to forgive him and endorse his candidature for the top post.
