The Samajwadi Party on Wednesday hit out at the United Progressive Alliance government, calling it a "scam-vending machine", an apparent move to scotch speculations that it was about to join the coalition. The attack came hours after Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav shared the high table with UPA chairperson and Congress president Sonia Gandhi at a dinner to celebrate the third anniversary of the government.
