Minister Reddy has reservations but UPA holds firm

The UPA has decided to hold firm on the decision by state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) to raise retail petrol prices by up to Rs 8 a litre even as the OMCs indicated that prices may be cut by about Rs 1.50-1.80 early next month if the current trend of softening in global oil price continued.
