Youth move on, Rahul Gandhi's IYC sees sharp fall in new members

About five years after Rahul Gandhi took over the reins of the Indian Youth Congress, his appeal seems to be on the wane. As the Congress general secretary’s promises of internal elections and of changing the culture of politics remain distant, the IYC membership drive is seeing a massive decline in numbers — dropping to about one-third in Gujarat, and to one-tenth in Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu.
