A CPM mayor and deputy mayor may mark history in the Shimla Municipal Corporation but, for the town itself, Sanjay Chauhan and Tikender Singh Panwar are familiar faces residents identify with issues that matter to them. Chauhan, 45, and Panwar, 41, were voted mayor and deputy respectively on Monday, the first time direct elections were held to those posts.
