Trade policy: 7-point dose to boost ailing exports

The government on Tuesday announced a slew of sops for exporters, including an extension of the existing interest subsidy scheme to a number of labour-intensive sectors. The move is aimed at helping exporters retain their market share at a time when demand in key Western markets continues to remain subdued.
