In Delhi, contrary to announcement by Uttar Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday, party chief Nitin Gadakri on Wednesday announced to field Jagdev Singh Yadav against CM Akhilesh Yadav's wife Dimple in Kannauj bypoll. Yadav's name was announced a just a couple of hours before the deadline for filing nomination papers but he failed to do so as the deadline ended on Wednesday.
