This Queen, that Empress

With the commemoration of the diamond jubilee of her coronation, Queen Elizabeth II has become only the second monarch in London to have reigned for 60 years. The first was, of course, Queen Victoria or “apro Victoria” as Parsis of a certain generation referred to her. After all, she was not just Queen of the United Kingdom but also Empress of India.
