UPA unravelling, panicky Cong summons CMs as Kalam gains ground

APJ Abdul Kalam on Thursday emerged as the most serious non-Congress candidate for the post of President after Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee declared him as her first choice and claimed she had the backing of SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. Mulayam, who remained tight-lipped on Thursday after meeting with Mamata, is expected to open his cards on Friday at a Press conference.
