Trinamool Congress chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has advised NCP leader PA Sangma to back out of the Presidential election in favour of former President APJ Abdul Kalam. Journalist-turned-Trinamool MP Kunal Ghosh said on Sunday that Sangma had called up the Chief Minister seeking her support but was advised to withdraw from the race as she was backing Kalam.
