The Congress, which has recently trying hard woo Samajwadi Party to counter unreliable ally Trinamool Congress, got a jolt when its own spokesman Rashid Alvi dubbed SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav as the “biggest agent” of BJP inviting angry retort from the supporting party. The Congress instantly disapproved Alvi’s remarks saying that it did not reflect the party stand. However, the Samajwadi Party, which has supported UPA nominee Pranab Mukherjee in the July 19 Presidential poll, has reacted angrily and sought an apology and action against Alvi.
