CPM’s young face resigns over ‘violation of party line’

The CPM Politburo’s decision to support UPA candidate Pranab Mukherjee in the Presidential election has triggered unease in the party. The first indication came on Friday with one of its prominent young faces in Delhi, Prasenjit Bose, resigning from the party. He was convener of the Research Unit of the CPM. He described the party’s decision as a “grave error” and a “violation” of party’s “political line”.
