Former Chief Minister and current Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Monday distanced himself from the allotment of land made to the controversial Adarsh housing society, by saying that the decision to allot the land was taken during his predecessor Vilasrao Deshmukh’s tenure. “Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh was my predecessor (CM) when I took oath of office to that post on 18-1-2003. It is correct that the decision to allot the land in question to the Adarsh CHS was taken prior to my becoming the CM.
