The case against Lt Col Srikant Prasad Purohit, accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, appears to be floundering even before the National Investigation Agency (NIA) takes him into custody. The Army's court of inquiry (CoI) report on Purohit has revealed that he could have infiltrated Abhinav Bharat, the organization suspected to be behind the blast, to collect information on right-wing extremism. Purohit was in miltary intelligence at the time.
