It was indeed interesting when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh assumed charge of the finance portfolio, the first thing he spoke about was tax reforms. For the Indian economy to regain the 'animal instinct', substantial reforms are imperative and I am sure that the Prime Minister will address the significant structural issues of FDI, financial reforms and the like.
