Gowda clears 58 decisions in 60 mins, new CM likely on July 11

In what was widely perceived to be the last Cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, the Karnataka government today cleared 58 decisions within an hour — ranging from the creation of a cow protection committee to funding for urban corporations. Asked if the Cabinet had elections in mind, Minister for Primary Education Vishweshwar Kaggeri said: “It was a routine Cabinet meeting, no special significance needs to be attached to it.”
