Vice-President Hamid Ansari, who was blocked from being president, is set to get a second term in office with Congress veering around to supporting his candidature and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh initiating consultations with allies and other political parties. Ansari will be only the second person after Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, India's first vice-president, to be elected to two consecutive terms in office.
